If I'm not mistaken, Hermit Pass is in the West Cliffe area.
There's Alvaredo Campground there. It's a beautiful place to camp. I've been going there regularly since I was just a kid. You will probably need to make reservations there though.
This sounds like a blast. The West Cliffe area is one of my favorite places in Colorado.
The Music pass road and trail is just south of there. It's a fairly easy 4x4 road for about 2.75 miles, and then a 1.2 mile hike up to the top of the pass. It's one of the most beautiful and inspirational places I've ever been to.
The 4x4 road starts at 3755'48.12"N-10527'26.25"W

Could you post the Lat-Long of the beginning and end of the Medano pass road?

I would rather walk than drive anything that's 2WD.
