Default Switzerland Trail GPS Coordinates

Here's all the waypoints I have stored for the Switzerland Trail (moving South to North):

Southern Trailhead:
40° 01' 31" N, 105° 25' 30" W
(Also, from here you can take a short hike (1/2 mile) to the top of Sugarloaf Mountain with great views of the Indian Peaks and Longs Peak.)

Good Spot to camp w/ great views down into Boulder and close to the Southern Trailhead above:
40° 01' 16" N, 105° 26' 17" W
(a little dicey to get to in a stock vehicle)

Good spot to camp close to the above with great views of the Indian Peaks:
40° 01' 10" N, 105° 26' 23" W
(Like above, a little dicey to get to in a stock vehicle)

Town of Sunset (not really a town so much as a small collection of houses):
40° 02' 08" N, 105° 28' 08" W
(You can drive here via asphalt on Fourmile Canyon Drive)

Another good camping spot that is up near Gold Hill and easy to get to in a stock vehicle:
40° 02' 56" N, 105° 26' 14" W

All of those spots are pretty exposed to wind, If it is really windy, there is a good spot that is really well sheltered directly south of that last spot. Basically, from the spot above, you would drive downhill, around the switch back and you'd find a pullout on your right. That one is accessible in a Ford Escort... Which is what I saw parked there last weekend.

Northern Trailhead (where the trail intersects with Gold Hill Road):
40° 03' 14" N, 105° 27' 20" W

From there, on all the maps I've looked at, it looks like the trail continues north all the way to Ward... I've found this to be false, at least in a Tacoma. The trail gets very narrow, with lots of brush on both sides and even low overhead... I'd recommend that once you get there, you head into Gold Hill for a beer at the General Store... Then a beautiful drive down Sunshine Canyon into Boulder.
