OK, I've got to say this. This has been driving me nuts for years.
Now, before I continue, I will say that I understand the role the forest service plays in protecting the national forests. I'm not trying to be rude or start a bunch of crap here.
Aren't the national forests public land? Are they not there for the enjoyment of the public? We all work hard to keep them clean and protect them in order to preserve them for our future generations. But the forest service's indiscriminate closures of roads and access to these areas is exasperating. How will I be able to take my children, and some day my grandchildren to these places and let them explore and learn responsible use of the land? If these national forests are public lands, then why is the public increasingly barred from using them? It's ludicrous.
I'm just expressing how I feel about this sort of thing.
And how I feel is exasperated, irritated, and I feel as though we (the off road community) are being excluded and discriminated against.
There, that's all I have to say about it.
