Pretty much my conclusions after 2 years of researching this conversion. Is this the rebuild thread posted by Wheelingnoob your referring to?

The 6BD1T is the HD 6 cylinder version of the 4BD1/2T and is definitely a heavy duty diesel. Its used in the much bigger FSR. The NPR's have GVWRs from 12K-14K GVWR so they are borderline on being HD size, but appear to be getting through on conversions in the less than 14K category.
