I need to check/set the timing on my injection pump. According to the manual, I need to have an injection pipe about 50mm long that screws onto the top of the pump on output #1, but that doesn't have a "end" on the other side. Supposedly, you rock the crank back and forth until fuel comes up, then you check the crank position when it spills.
First off, anybody ever done this?
Second, any idea of a shop that might have a short piece of injection pipe as scrap that I can make this tool out of?
