Ended up talking to WI6RE in the Mojave Desert and KB7RHF in Southern Oregon! I had no idea this was a linked repeater. What a cool thing to be able to do with my little $150 radio in my truck!
That is cool, I saw your post this AM so I dialed on over there while driving around at lunch and heard a conversation with a guy on the Gold Coast of OZ. The linked repeaters are pretty cool indeed!
