Thanks, guys. I think I am going to leave things as they are since this will primarily be a summer rig anyway. Steve, the intake area you refer to looks fine; no cracks.

Sounds like the problem was just my getting used to the time it takes for aftermarket headers to heat the intake manifold and vaporize fuel in the winter.

Now, if summer can just get here a little faster...
