Yeah, I didn't HAVE to do anything. I loved the Bimmer, and I sold it to a friend with buy-back dibs, so it's all good. I got the itch and wanted an 80 or 100 for longer romps. The BMW was my SoCal cool kid car when I was at Camp Pendleton. I regret nothing. The 100 has really impressed me, and I'll have a correctly built 40 for the bigger stuff.
On the other hand... Redline hasn't gotten all the way through it yet. I'll be shocked if they don't find some other cut corner before all is said and done. Almost comical at this point.
