It has more implications beyond that. While it's nice to have the increased value, it also means that they become more of a target for theft. And for those of us who still enjoying "using" the 40, now we have to weigh the ramifications of theft or damage. For example, mine is pretty clean, so is it really wise to keep desert running it like I have been? I'm generally pretty careful, but rolling a classic would suck.
