There is a ton of stuff to do right around Crested Butte. But heading up to Leadville and around Vail/Eagle/Dillon is cool for someone out of state.

Crystal Mill & Marble

Some combination of Schofield/Taylor/Pearl/Italian Creek Passes is what constitute the Miller's Triple Bypass
Camp in Dorchester Campground

Black Canyon of the Gunnison
Blue Mesa and Paonia Rez

Drive down to Lake City and do the Alpine Loop
Wheeler Geologic Area
Maroon Bells if you're into hiking and tourist buses

Be aware that with our higher than average snow pack it's possible that stuff will still not be fully open in July. The Triple Bypass usually happens in August and some years it's touch and go.

"Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty. Nobody is able to achieve this completely, but the striving for such achievement is in itself a part of the liberation and a foundation for inner security. " --Albert Einstein
