Hey I know this one! there's two places.. there's a set of nuts on the pedal lever itself, then another set of nuts down at the slave. I'd start with the top nuts first, see if you can change the travel a little bit there before laying down on on the cold driveway. The slave adjustment also changes the actuation of the clutch, so it's not quite as simple.
