Funny you mention that. Linda was a preschool teacher up until this year, now she works one on one with special needs kids at an elementary. Her daughter Ashley teaches preschool. We had talked about turning my vacant downstairs apartment into a preschool, but we now have other plans. Tim and Scott, one of the reasons that child care is so hard to get is that there's no money in it. Teacher pay is around $8-$12/hour, and most working parents simply can't afford to spend much, especially if they have multiple kids. Running or working for a day care or preschool is more a labor of love, and really not much of a business opportunity.
