I didn't look at it but either the clutch isn't working right or maybe the shift fork is worn. Normally h42's are pretty bombproof
There are at (least) 3 different H41s, and of course none of them came on USA spec cruisers. Early mates to a "solid" t-case, later mates to a split case, and there is a version that mates to a B series diesel with solid case, more splines (21?) than the 16 spline gasser. I have one of those on the floor of my garage.
