I think the inner (where the ball is and the leak) set is a kit with the rubber, felt and metal ring.

I wouldnt think the studs being loose would cause a soupy leak. Id check the seal to make sure its installed in the right direction.

The arm nuts loosening is a common problem. One of the guys on mud came up with a technique. Tighten smack the bottom with a hammer in an upward motion and repeat both steps till its real tight and no gaps.

Recheck after 100 and 1000 miles.
