Next meeting is Wed April 15th 7:30 pm, St. Joseph's Episcopal, 11202 W. Jewell Ave, Lakewood.

I was thinking of going.

Do they have a website? Are they called DARC or something like that?

There is a nice Italian restaurant accross the street in the Safeway parking lot, Cafe Jordano. Go early and grab a bite, you won't be dissapointed.

The guest speaker is talking about D*star, the new digital mode that ICOM is developing. I don't really want to buy a new radio, but the possibilities of digital VHF/UHF has me really intrigued. CO amateur emergency comm is starting to go digital above HF in a big way. Major investments and Federal grant money has recently been awarded to build the infrastructure. I think Mt. Thorodin has digital on at least one repeater now as well.
