i'm guessing the harness you were talking about is the one that runs along the back left side of the valve cover up to a plastic over on the firewall...it was fine

we both were right...it was the sensor and it was a short. i'll drive it tomorrow and see what happens.

don't know if the condition of the sensors says anything about engine condition, but here they are...
