The white 40 is Steve's (FJBrady) rig. It is a very impressive 40. I followed Steve down and got to watch his crawl race with Dean. When these guys put it into low it was a very impressive thing to see. The black 40 is Nick's (nick_in_nebraska) rig. It also is a very nice 40. He had some minor issues with the fuel injection near the top but in very short order had it figured out and was rolling strong.

IIRC, we had 5 40s on the run an impressive showing of the old iron. Dan and Wes brought their families and left their 40s at home. Dean brought his 40 to the Rally, but the Hilux to the run. At lunch, Dean and Martin were going over maps scoping out trails for this year's 40 run.

We had cell service most of the trail, including the lake itself!

Actually, 6 40's. Ricardo, Jeff, Martin, Steve, Ken and Nick. We outnumbered the 80's and FJ Cruisers! pretty cool.

Good run, Thanks again Jeff and Ricardo.

Yeah! I'm so sorry I had to miss it, but I'm pleased Helen R. got to do the photos! She is one of our best photogs at the paper. Thank you everyone for allowing a Postie to tag along. The article about noobie trails will appear in this Saturday's paper with photos from the run!

Thanks to all for a really great time at Bill Moore lake yesterday. The people were great, the turnout was outstanding, and the scenery was magnificent.

Hi Sheba, so did you go on another run? Helen thought you were going to go with us and didn't know what became of you. We speculated that you might have gone with the Chinaman group?

wow...when I led the run 2 years ago I think we had 4 people! Maybe we need more runs next year! Sounds like a great turnout and you could not ask for a better trail leader and gunner.

Thanks everyone!

What an amazing run! The scenery was phenomenal!

It was great meeting you all - I look forward to the next run that my stock 4Runner can handle. I'll post some photos soon, as well.

My son and I had a great time and glad I finally got to get the 80 out to stretch it's springs during a hectic summer!
