Default Happy New Year.....

New tradition here for us... The re-lighting of the Christmas Tree. Happy new Year. Now us new parents are the kid is sleeping.

pretty cool... my family has some property in the San Juans that we often spend Christmas at. We do the same thing when were down there.

Ours was on fire, but didnt burn to the ground thankfully...

I wish we could burn the trees like you did Corbet, I've only done it once and it was unreal how quickly and hot it burned..

Ours would only burn with coleman fuel poured on it. And even then it really was not that impressive. Next year I'll get more aggressive on the accelerant

When I lived in SF we took our tree to Baker beach with a view of the GG bridge.
Plunged the trunk in the sand and redecorated with crumpled newspapers.
The fire got so hot it made glass in the pit from the sand.
Also melted our bottles. Very cool!
