Default Extracted

The stuck Isuzu was was extracted from her icy home that it was trapped in. All is well in Boulder County. The owner says thanks to all that responded.

yes.

I was getting ready to install some rock sliders on my rig, and called Blackdiamond for a hand, when he mentioned this 'stuck' rig we were going to rescue.

after loading up a few straps, d-rings, snatch block and other junk i keep handy, we roll to 4th of july road.. only to find the trail completely blocked by a VERY stuck power stroke F250..

after about 20 minutes of repeatedly getting myself buried, i finally decide to resort to "redneck rescue".... i.e. "hang on, im gonna jerk ya".. 5-6 hard yanks popped the power stroke out of the hole and he was able to get out of the way.

after that, the Isuzu was anti-climatic. after an aborted attempt to pull it out in reverse, (bald tires don't steer well on ice... much less in reverse while being dragged) i hooked onto the front end, and simply slid it around 90 degrees on the ice, turned myself around, hooked on the right way and drove us both out.

on the way out, we ran across yet another 'stuck' 2wd ford ranger who managed to get himself sideways blocking the road, but all this one took was a quick pull to get him headed in the right direction, and a couple cute gals and myself sitting on the tailgate for enough weight to get him rolling again.

as is typical in Gilpin Co (yea, this was boulder... but still)... what should ahve been a 10 minute in-and-out rescue on what is normally a 2wd road became a Triple Play...

naturally and Pizza followed, so all was well.
