Wow! That's incredible. Way to go. Thanks for sharing.

You are Kerry I believe. It must be you. You’re the only one I know with every mod imaginable on their 3rd gen and who would actually do a mod like this.

So I can understand YOU actually doing this. Fortunately, our 3rd gens hold up pretty well on roll-overs. The front area around the driver and passenger is the area that crushes. I remember seeing the picture on YotaTech of the 3rd gen that rolled at 70 mph. The driver and passenger survived, only because the seat mechanisms broke back on impact sparing the occupants. But they were injured and you would come out like a champ.

By the way I got my crawler installed by Oleg, and it works great. Thanks for the advice when I was first considering it.

That's a nice looking cage. I'd be curious to see how much weight it added to your 4Runner.

thanks guys, i am really happy with it! as far as cost goes as the saying goes if you have to ask it is probably too much, we worked out what we both felt was fair for a project this size, he spent 285 hours and we used 12 sticks of DOM (he had amazingly little waste, like 6 feet or something) we figured it added between 280 to 300 lbs? so far i have not noticed any issues with stability or any change in how it handles, i too hope to never use it but i wanted to add uniqieness too my rig and i believe this achieveid just that! as well as assurance. thanks Scott,i love my crawler too and use it all the time, much better wheel control!
thanks again!
Happy wheelin!

285 hours? That seems like a lot. Working 8 hour days, that would be nearly 36 days. At $60/hour, it would have cost $17,100. Must be a typo, eh?
