Default ABS light ON after elocker axle swap?

Absent taking the light out for smog inspection, any ideas on what is causing ABS light to be on ever since I did a elocker swap going from 4.10 to 4.30 at the time. (99 4Runner)

Honestly, the brakes never did pulsate, there isn't one option on the vehicle ( 2.7, 5sp, power nothing, no roof rack, old style metal wheels, so unless ABS was standard. I'd question there existence, but there is a light on and there were magnetic sensors in the rear hubs.

Chevy forums mention a ecu reprogramming of ABS for re-gearing, but can't find anything on Toyotas.

Seems like I'm taking alot, but I will give when I can....

Sounds like you removed the sensors when you did the swap? That would do it!

Does the 3rd gen 4Runner have a ABS indicator diagnostic like Land Cruisers? If you've got a port on the truck that you can apply a jumper and get some trouble codes, that might help you pinpoint the issue. If you have an FSM, it would be detailed in there.

Oops.. I gues I should have used the ones in the axle and not the ones on the old axle plugged into the truck.... Live and learn... Ruined forever?
