Default Tranny Shop

Anybody know of anyone or a decent shop that can rebuild my H42 16 spline transmission ?

I've only rebuilt the 3speed but they are not that difficult. or just find another. What wrong with it?

My thought was also to find another. They are cheap and easy to find, probably cost a lot less than what a shop would charge to work on it.

The one I recently bought has alot of play in the front input shaft. I think that it only need a bearing but I can't seem to get it out. I didn't catch the excess play until I was mating it to the t/c.

The input shaft has play in it when out of the truck. Probably more than you think it should have. There is no measurement for it. As long as the needle bearing are good on the other end it's fine. Remember that the other end is supported by the pilot bearning.
