Books to read before heading to Red Rock country: 1) Desert Solitaire by Edward Abbey. 2) Brave New West; Morphing Moab at the speed of greed by Jim Stiles.

Both verry good reads and will give you a bigger respect and understanding of Moab country.

Thanks for the info, Perry. Still a heck of a mystery about a guy a lot like you, Perry. Substitute your 4runner for Evert's Mule...and you two are cut of the same cloth.
