I picked up a D5000 off CL a month or so ago and love it. I've found it pretty straight forward to figure out some of the basic stuff. I have the basic 18-55 and a 55-200 lenses and would sure like to have the 18-105 that you got to reduce lens swapping. My next buy will be a 70-300 lens as the 200 doesn't reach out quite as far as I'd like.
Here's a link to some instructions for basic operation that I found helpful.
