Question Henry Mountains

I'm heading to Moab and the Henry Mountains at the end of the month and would appreciate any trail suggestions for the Henry's. This isn't a camping trip, we're staying in hotels so I'm not sure if time would allow a backroads trip from Moab to the Henry's but would appreciate any info on that.

We did backroads from Elephant Hill on our first trip but we camped along the way. I can't recall the details now that a few years have passed. The trip to the Henry's centers on Mt. Ellen as our primary goal to re-visit the spot we scattered my friend's son's ashes. He'll be renting and has some experience buy we need to stay easy to moderate.

Anyone able to help? Perry? Others that ventured south from CM or expedition?

TIA!

Check out the hotels in Hanksville. Even Green River, but day trip from Moab would be a long day.

Reservations are already made. We're loyal to the Whispering Sands Motel in Hanksville ever since our first trip when they allowed us to work on my FJ62 in front of our rooms. Draining and pulling a tank to replace the fuel pump is a long/stinky job that we wrapped up at 3 am.

Base camp in Hanksville is good. The main access route to the Henrys is just west of the Hollow Mountains Gas Station. The route, is nothing more than a Sunday drive, for that matter, the rest of the Henry's are pretty much that way. But it's hard to top the beutey of the land. Nothing better than being at 8,000ft+ while overlooking Robbers Roost. My best advice is to just get out there and see what you can find

That's how we always do it, maybe this year we'll spend time searching for the buffalo herd!
