Default Where to buy a OEM truck bed???

I will soon be replacing my truck bed on my 88 pickup. Does anyone know where to buy a OEM "metal" truck bed for this truck?
Thanks!

Have you tried Toyota? I was able to get OEM front fenders for my '80 pickup recently.

Most likely, the only source for "new" beds would be fiberglass.

Martin's right, you can still buy brand new, unpainted bed assemblies from Toyota. Last I looked the 89-95 was about $1,800. This is the stock North American body, so no external hooks and single, centered handle. That's just the body, no tailgate or anything.

I was trying to get a new 'overseas' body, double latches, external hooks. That seems to be in the system for Canadian mine trucks but they didn't have any available at the time, about 5 years ago. Those would be made in Japan, the replacement bodies we get here would have been made in Fremont, CA, (or whatever TMM plant supplied NUMMI) although my OE was made in Japan.

Remember that on yours there are also several pieces, the inner walls are bolted on unlike mine which is built as a single, welded assembly. The front wall is bolted on, though. So the outer skin only on yours might be cheaper. It might actually come in even more pieces, since IIRC the lower skirt and upper sides are not one piece, so it's possible that there's 10 or 12 part numbers that make up a 'bed assembly' on yours.

Try your favorite dealer and have them look it up in the Collision Catalog.

The gas door is: 77351‑89000

The tailgate is: 65700‑89000
The tailgate inner panel is: 65759‑89000
