What sort of "services" do you think can reasonably be done in a day?

For instance, on my LX I'm pretty sure I need to replace the tie rod ends (4). Could this be accomplished in a day? Or is something like that better to have done by a shop that can also do an alignment afterward?

No problem, just don't plan on leaving it here

Setting up the 3rd member with the new gears & ARB is no problem

For those that want to just pitch in and help, the more the merrier. It will probably take several pairs of hands to drop the bumper off of Jaderunners rig. If any of you have good fab skills you are welcome to use the plasma cutter and mig welder, or I can do it too.

Thanks Ricardo for stepping in to help manage the process. Remember we have 3 bays and 1 lift so we don't want to over book the space.

Thanks Randy! I take it these sessions are a replacement for the annual WBPP?

H55f install into an Fj60 Saturday February 11th, with tear-out and clutch work Thursday or Friday evening beforehand! Thanks, Randy!!!

I would love to do some more differential work soon. In fact I am thinking about putting an ABR in the 4.11 rear I got from Matt for the aforementioned 60. If a "high pinion" is not significantly different from a regular diff, I would be happy to help with Mark's project. If it is quite different, well I'm always up for learning while I help, but I may not be considered "experienced".

Yes and no. If you need to pack your wheel bearings any of these sessions would be a good time to do it. I took over the WBPP a few years ago and need to think through if it will/can/should be rolled into these sessions. Perhaps, the best thing to do is re-brand the March or April session as the WBPP.

I didn't want this to take the place of the official club event WBPP as some folks may be disappointed if that didn't happen and it's typically held closer in to town so the drive isn't as far.

On the other hand, if we want to choose one of the weekends Ricardo has identified and have the official WBPP at my place we can do that too.

Barring snow I can do most any weekend listed, which one would work for others for me to get the most help with the bearings on the club trailer. I will hook it up and take it to the local auto parts place Saturday the 21st of Jan and see if I can get replacement wheel seals for it.

Very easy IF you have the right tie rod end puller - a good one like Ige owns - heat (to loosen the ends from the rod), a big pipe wrench (to loosen the ends from the rod) and access to a vise (also part of loosening the ends from the rod) and the ability to make a jig (I screwed wood blocks to the top of my workbench) so that you can get the tie rod length right. To get my ends out I had to clamp the end in the vise, heat the area at the threads and then stand on my pipe wrench to get them apart.

Still, maybe took an hour total per rod.

Bring folks that have the knowledge and any special tools required like the puller that Ige has. Also, keep in mind we are doing both Saturday and Sunday on the appointed weekends. You could work on it Saturday and if you run out of time, finish it on Sunday. Just arrange a ride back & forth.
