Sitting at the stop light last night, I decided to give my instrument cluster a hard tap. Lo and behold:

- That approach stopped working for me some time ago but maybe I should give it another whack

Of course only the 80-series owners have a clue what we are talking about...

The "D" light is notorious for going out...Most just accept it vs. digging into the dash unless they are planning to mod the temp gauge or have another reason to dig in...

It was discovered long ago that sometimes a hard "whack" to the top of the dash will result in the light coming back on

Just one of them. Mine finally went out about a week ago. I was wondering how long it would last.
