Guess I need to go back there armed with more info. When I went to HRO last March and described what Sean recommended, I was told by the guy I spoke with (professing to have helped many other RS members) that that model (1802M) was discontinued and I needed at least the FT-8800R ($400+) along with a ($180+) antenna. There was no way I'd be happy with anything else....

Way beyond what I was expecting for 2M set-up after many discussions with Sean on last years Outlaw Run. So I left and have still done nothing yet mainly due to time to research this further.

Looks like the 1900R replaced yours with a few more watts and a several other minor changes. Thanks Daniel! I need to get this done soon.
