If you're comparing a 5-7yo vehicle in 2005 to a 5-7yo vehicle in 2012 then you are correct. But easy to see how a 2006 land cruiser or 470 is a lot more vehicle than a 96 80. Not talking wheeling capability obviously , but just upgrades to creature comforts, power, transmission, hvac, nav...

OTOH heck partially built early model 100's are $10k now, which isn't far off from a well maintained 80.

Seems like a great deal for a 2003 with 5 speed Gray. Doesnt look from the carfax like it had the t belt done, but that doesnt mean it hasnt. $15.9K for a Texas vehicle. I'd have it checked out by one of our Lone Star friends first

seems like a reasonable price for a built 2004 http://forum.ih8mud.com/vehicles-tra...-25-000-a.html

Looks like he would go lower by the OBO

130K miles but yet he states:

"Truck is Very Clean. Ready for Timing Belt / Water Pump Service."

How far past the "90K" service can you go before you do the rec 90K service?

90K is the recommended service, Recommmendations have tons of margin so they don't get sued.

There is a thread in the 100's section on pictures of T Belts removed at various mileage.

That said, If I was interested in it, I would drive it back and keep driving it till Robbie had time to do the replacement.

I bet where you live also has impact on when you should replace the belt.

I have 84k but my 100 is an 01, so I am also thinking age is a contributing factor. My guess is the belt will look fine when we pull it out this summer but no sense in chancing it.

Damn these are pimp

2004 Galactic Grey Mica

I added cabin filters and I didn't have the cover with the slots to replace it so I a new one from toyoter. I also added the trailer controller but I need some kind of sticky tape to stick the controller to the lower panel. I don't want to drill it or stick the controller in the ash tray.
