Default Red Cone Aug 7th 2012

What a great way to spend a Tuesday! Art Volmer, CBone and I ran Red Cone Pass yesterday. I had been wanting to do this trail for a while now and I'm so glad to have finally done it! Amazing views, good company, PERFECT weather, no issues and a little pucker factor. I really had a blast.

I truly love living in Colorado and I'm thankful to have such amazing opportunities right out my back door. I only had my Iphone and for some reason when I attach pictures, then never come out as clean as they look on my desktop??

I'm sure the others will have better photos, but here's a few.....

Red Cone is always refreshing and the weather really did look to be perfect. A good day, eh, and sixties and hundreds get along just fine don't they? How did you make your way out, via Montezuma and then over the pass?

We stayed to the left at the "Y" and came out via Webster Pass I believe?? For me, that was the spookiest part of the trail. The Hundy felt really wide and that shelf road felt really narrow!

I know what you mean about narrow on Webster. Back in 85 when I had my 84 mini I blew a tire going up webster. No fun changing a tire on the down hill side.

Yes, it was a great day. Webster Pass is pretty narrow for sure. I'll post additional pics real soon. I know Art has some as well, but he came home to a leaking hot water heater.
