This might prove out to be one of the best car buys of all time

I'd still have to cast my vote to Mr. Baranski and the buy he made on his FJ40.

It would have been a much better deal if it weren't for our AIR program! Then all it would have cost would have been $50 for the purchase, plus title, taxes and battery cables.

OTOH, having all 4 injectors working properly will probably help her fuel economy...

She passed emissions. I would theorize that even though it was not getting fuel to that area of the intake, it would still steal fuel from the other 3 injectors and result in the 3 that were firing getting a too-lean mixture which would cause excessive combustion temperatures and thus excessive NxOx. The intake is, after all, shared.

Moral of the story - pay attention to what that OBDII thingie is sayin'...

Thanks for the followup, Jeff - I fought a Cyl 2/4 misfire code on a '99 Subaru Outback and never found the reason. Ran great, but had a MIL all the time. I sold it, which took care of the problem.
