I will invest in some needle nose pliers for C-Clips.....

The JB method will save you a lot of time. You don't need to get the clip off that way. It will just pop out like you would do if the axle was whole.

Default output stub stuck in a tru-track

I bought a new seal, then welded a a bolt with a washer already on it to the stub. Put my slide hammer on that and it popped out on the first try. The spring clip stays on the shaft.

seal puller to pry out the old seal.

tapped in the new seal, popped in new stub shaft. Sold the tru-track.
