That cable spool was a bit of a challenge...those 8274's are quick. I always go to a sloped parking lot with another rig. Hook up to the other rig and winch up the slope with my wife behind the wheel, coasting with the engine idling. She slowly turns the wheel back and forth while guide the cable in. But thats probably what everyone does

I think I just hooked the cable up to a tree and let the winch pull the 40 along. It was flat though so the cable may not be as tight as it should be.
