Default Think the guy at the local Vorizon just tried to scam me.

So I have this fairly new Blackberry bold, just about 5 months old maybe. Last weekend it just dies on the charger. I take it to the local store. The guy there tells me it isn't under warrenty anymore. I press him and he tells me the moisture indicator shows it got wet. I know there is NFW that happened, so I take the phone and get out of there before he can dissappear in back with it.

I get home and check the indicators, battery and phone are both clearly lily white. Check and turns out they start out white and turn red if exposed to moisture. So why do I suspect if I'd bought his line (and a replacement phone) my old one would have been replaced by verizon at no charge only to find it's way onto craigslist or ebay? Or am I missing something?

He gets a comission for sales whether inside or outside of contract... Free phone replacement is just that: free.

Call the manager. Done, and done.
