Old nasty galvanized mixed with copper. There are some good runs I'll just leave but everything else is getting pexed. Ive put about 5 hrs in so far. Here's what I go finished today. Maybe 2 more hours and I'll be done.

No just the crimp ones for the pex and sweat-on pex adapters. even without copper it's still about 500 to do this job. Every penny eats into our bath remodel budget.

pex handles curves well. See if you can do the rest without so many elbows.

I like sweating copper too. Until I had one fail last month putting in the utility sink. The second attempt is infinitely tougher than the first...

Hey Jus... you are really gonna wanna have a union or two on that filter d00d. (note... see my avatar)

So... is pex good for direct bury, I wonder? Need to run a line to a yard hydrant for the barn soon as the ground gets softer than granite. I would imagine it is less prone to freeze damage?

I don't really know. The Home Depot guy was saying you can use it any where.
