that trail is definitely an ars-kicker...especially the first couple miles going up. Davis killed me on it last year.

Well, I wasn't killin anyone yesterday except I did finally pass this dude that had passed me.

I was as slow as they come but I made it. That was a tail kicker for sure. First ride of the season. Getting a late start this year.

It was really pleasant though not too hot, no wind. Not to busy, local holiday rides have their advantages..

Stakked on the way down, of course, on the switchbacks at the bottom. I got new shoes and they clips are too tight... Really my whole bike felt out of sorts.. Had the shocks rebuilt last fall and they were too stiff, also too much air in my tires and alas my new v-brake pads did not have the same squeeze feel. So I have some maintenance to do this afternoon...

Thinking of doing Bergen Peak this afternoon before the club run. Bergen is in Evergreen. Might do Lair (Lair O bear) instead of Bergen. Depends on how quickly I can get my act together this afternoon.

Anybody want to join me?
