Default Ptarmagan/McAllister run July 6

Had a great run today up over Vail Pass, with Shotshell and a couple of others. Some highlights:

4 of us went up:

(all of us made it down).

These trails aren't necessarily about the obstacles. There's some minor ones:

But it's more about the view:

And, of course, you have to stop and smell the flowers:

Working our way up towards the summit:

Making the toughest obstacle look easy:

The view from the top of Mt. Holy Cross is worth every bit of the drive:

Fantastic run today!

I had a great time. Got to meet some new people. My truck got SO dirty, I might actually have to wash it this week...

Absolutely gorgeous area. I can't believe I'd never been out that way before.
