I looked at it and he lowered the price after I passed on it! Plastic underneath is really cracked...all over.

Dave, sorry I led to a waste of your time. I have the same setup with no cracking and its a great unit. I wonder if it would be worth it to call ARB and see what they can do about replacing those panels

Not a waste of time Ken! The seller should have stated that it had cracks in the ad as it has been a problem with the early models. When I saw it and commented on the cracking, he just said, "oh yeah, I forgot about that".

I'm planning on contacting ARB Monday to see if they would correct the problem or if its even a structural concern at all.

I have the Simpson II and really like it. The III has the improved cover and zippers (which I ended up upgrading on mine). It also has an improved design for the rainfly and vestibule. The III has better poles and tensioning which doesn't require the lines and stakes to the ground like the II. I haven't had any issue with the panels cracking on mine and it's been on both of my FJ60's, my Hilux and our Tundra more than off.

Here is the ARB Simpson II on my 60. You can see the difference in the vestibule and the lines to the ground which are needed to tension the fly. I've never found them to be an inconvenience.

Looks like it's been sold.

Fwiw the floor cracks are purely cosmetic, no structural issues. Some more notes here:
