Default Justin is beyond furious!

So tonight while my wife and I enjoyed a movie at the Alamo in Littleton, someone broke into my OTHER 1988 pickup and tried to steal it. Thank God I am (understandably) paranoid and pull my fuel pump relay EVERY time I park my truck. Both the security guy and the police were completely useless. It is beyond frustrating. I will be wiring in custom start switches tomorrow.

Unbelievable! You are having some bad vehicle luck, Justin. Glad they didn't succeed in getting it. something is definitely up in The Denver area with Toyotas it seems.

Wow! I'm totally paranoid too. I still have PTSD about mine. I won't leave it anywhere, and i make multiple attempts to secure it that I won't say, every time I park. I was starting to feel silly, but this is a real problem in Denver right now.

Back in NYC we used the club and had a hidden kill switch on our cars and removable stereos. I still take the stereo faceplate off everyday I park downtown.

Sounds like its time for a kill switch.

Anyone know what circuit to interrupt on an 80?

I'd interrupt the fuel pump circuit. That way if a potential thief gets it to turn over you don't dilute your crankcase oil with fuel. Plus the sound of a vehicle not starting seems to draw attention.

Oh I've got a plan in the works to keep any body but me from starting it. I'll post my build in the members only when I put it together this week.

Are they just trying to part the trucks out? If so, do they end up in the same junkyard? Or scattered all over Denver?
