Default Rain rain rain...

I love rain...

...I'd ont like it when people or property are effected and my prayers are with those who are being effected by all this.

But man, I LOVE rain!

Campus is closed, some of our students are experiencing flooding, a road washed out by Off Campus cafe in Lafayette. Crazy, and the rain is still coming.

I fully expect to see animals show up 2 by 2 any moment now.

Drew

We had 4" of rain overnight at our house, and in Boulder it was closer to 7-8" of water. It's unlike anything I've ever seen. Imagine if it was 2 months from now and this was snow....

This was the park by my house last night at 10:00 (apologies for the poor quality) - note the park bench in the background. The water was 2.5 - 3' deep and covered 3-4 soccer fields.

Jacket, you guys okay? Are you flooding in your home?

I wonder how Robbie is doing? Lots of rock slides and soil moving around.

This is AWESOME! Getting paid overtime, driving/wheeling a Chief's suburban, picking people off cars in A-town... Yeeeha. Stay safe everyone, it's nasty out there!

Cherry Creek at 14th and Larimer at 9:30 AM 9//12/13. There is usually a bike path on both sides and a 3 inch deep stream about 15 feet wide.

Can we as a club be helping any in this mess?

Non-stop rain SE of town as well. Most of the drainage is overwhelmed here though and starting to flood back.

Does anyone need anything? Those of us that are dry can and will help with whatever you need.

Or.... mud run? Barbour Fork would be a HOOT is this!

Daniel, thanks for the pictures. Looks like the designed it well for the rising river, as long as it does not rise anymore

I remember in the mid 60's when I was a kid the city flooded big time and that is why they built Chatfield

We had to do a study of 50 and 100 year flood levels in Golden when I was in school there, let's just say it's good they built new bridges a few years ago!

I would imagine Gene King would be the best contact if any 4x4 help were needed...
