Hey guys, I'm removing my A/C and I am curious if this bracket holding the compressor is the OEM alt bracket

Through some image searching I've determined that is an aftermarket bracket. Looking for the OEM one now.

If you want to keep that compressor you will have to keep that bracket or similar. That is a sanden compressor that was never intended to bolt up to your engine from the factory.

Right, good call on that. I would rather go the FJ60 route and mount the compressor where the A/C would mount for that instead of this hybrid poorly thought out option. It's off and running well now. The oil pan and side cover really weren't that bad of a job, I think it buttoned up those leaks! The whole A/C setup will be for sale on Mud here in the near future. Good riddance in my opinion. I've owned it for 2 1/2 years and never once turned it on, but have cursed the poor install many times.

I just remembered that if you were to go the fj60 route you will have to put the three-row pulley on too

I hadn't looked into it to much, thanks Matt.

Ige-
I'll keep it in mind, I really don't think I'll put A/C back into it. I mean, if it's cool enough for A/C the top should be off IMHO. I was just making the point to Matt that if I was going to do A/C it wouldn't have been that after market piece.
