Default Found this RTT on Craigslist.

I found this on craigslist today. For $800, you guys think this is a pretty good deal? It is 6 hours away... lol

Hard to say.

Looks similar to an ARb. Those go for about 1500 new.

I'd spend time checking out the condition of the fabric and mounting hardware.

Perhaps one of our friends in Bookcliffs Cruisers can check it out. They had a sub-forum on Mud

CVT hasn't been around forever so it probably is next to new. The have run some good group buys in the past on some of the forums. Shipping on an RTT can be nasty so a good local unit already saves you a lot of $$. Seems like a fair deal if that is what you want.

CVT must be selling a butt load of tents. I see those all the time. Same thing as the ARB and all the other Chinese tents. They're all pretty good tents.

The 6+ hour drive stings a little. That trip is every bit of 6 hours and then some. Add your price of gas to the cost of the tent too... it's almost 750 miles there and back.

Snow on Vail pass?.....you could add some significant time. Gotta figure 14-17 hours total by the time you drive out there, take a look at it, chat with the guy, mount it up. That really adds to it.

Now, if he'll sell it for $500 and meet you in GJ, you got a deal. Otherwise they come up for sale ALL the time.

Default Found this RTT on Craigslist.

I think JP might have one of those. He was talking about it at the last meeting

MtnAddict has one too. I'll let him chime in on any issues.

New this model is $1395 + $250 shipping. Scott at CVT is very helpful. He just fixed me up with a great price on a replacement fly for my Mombasa RTT.

ARB Simpson III is $1490 + around the same shipping for comparison.
