Yes, I got the FTM-400. The display is a little taller and slightly narrower than the FTM-350. It's in a totally different class being a full color touch screen, though. Yaesu's menus are clear but very rudimentary compared to the capability of the screen.

I won't be pulling the 350 from the FJ when I sell it so that's good to know on the 400. Thanks.

The FTM-400 is cheaper than the FTM-350 + FGPS-1 it replaced. The 350 alone was cheaper but the 400 has GPS built-in already. Most of the FTM-350 screens don't display anything without GPS or APRS enabled.

HRO used to sell the FTM-350AR for $630 and the FGPS-1 module for $70. The FTM-400 goes for $690 and with the $20 instant rebate it's $670 right now.

If you don't want APRS then the FTM-350 was a slightly cheaper option, but if you just want a dual band voice radio the FT-8800 is better than both IMHO and is a steal at $380 after the $80 rebate.

I didn't pay near that for my 350. I'd have to look it up but I though it was low 4's

You may be right. There was apparently some pretty sweet deals over the years. In 2010 list on the FTM-350R was $780, HRO had it priced at $570 and then $110 in rebates. So the final was $459.95 + tax. The FGPS-1 was $74.95 + tax.

Haven't been able to find my receipt, but looks like when I got the updated radio, the FTM-350AR, it was approximately $540 after rebates. So I was around $620 or so with the FGPS-1. That's about $50 less than the FTM-400 is going for right about now.
