Default 2014 snow and Pizza Run

Another one in the books.

We got lots of "Old snow' wheelin' in and had a great time. We only had about 12 rigs or so. A jeep group took off ahead of us. But, we soon past them up as they were stopping to chain up. We played around the playground. The berm Mike left for me was rock hard for mt runner. But, Kipper broke it down in his 80. The group split up a bit as it usually does at that point. The jeeps caught up to the rear and made things a little more complicated for the guys back there. I managed to get through some really tough spots and scouted up ahead. I winched a few times and made up to the top of Yankee Hill proper. Then I came back down and met the guys at the glacier sledding spot. We tried to get up the glacier but mostly failed. The word on the radio was that the last few guys were dealing with some really messed up snow tracks the jeeps with chains had cut up. Jacket came up late and helped. Travis was also in the rear helping with the situation. Travis and Bill with his mostly stock 3rd Gen. decided to turn around and met us at the other end of the trail at Fall River road. We decided it would be easier to get everyone through the glacier area and down the other side into Fall River. Which we did with a bunch more effort. I blasted like a sled over the last very long drift. As well as two people behind me. But, then we spent another hour getting everyone through it as it got beat down.

It was sure nice having veterans like Mike D., his Dad and Kipper around helping communicate and plan recovery's. And a big thanks to Travis and Jacket for helping in the rear.

Fun run, good day.
Over all I had a great time. Thanks Scott for putting this together. As always, another fun and adventurous run. And the pizza was very much appreciated. Especially by the time we were done with all that. lol

I got a couple of pics in between shoveling snow.

Good times for sure. Getting up and over Yankee Hill was a nice treat - except for that last drift before St Marys....ouch.

I didn't take any pictures. Weird.

Default Snow Run

Great run again Scott. What a strap fest. Had some recoveries and challenging spots. I know that we had smiles on our face all day. At least most of us made it up to the top before the J33p's tore up the trail.
