Funny... Over 6 years, on about 5 major off-road forums, that's the first time anyone has ever made an even slightly negative comment about my username.

It's fine. I like my username. I'll keep it

See earlier in the thread and elsewhere on RS, Mud, and Pirate 4x4, the posts by the "backwoods goop guy". He has been banned from several forums. This has absolutely nothing to do with you and please don't take it as a negative comment.

I see... I recall the reference on MUD now from a post about axle grease. I'm definitely NOT that guy! Haha.

It's all good.

I'll have an update on my CVJ's soon - a 30,000 mile report. Summary: Never had an obvious problem but one was really tight to dis/reassemble (had to use a drift and prybar to move it around) and then loose once all assembled with axle in. The other moved smooth but almost too loose. Both looked rough inside. Me. Robbie, Bvb and Root all got to take a good look at them.

Swapped side on reinstall and the truck shook a lot. (Part of shaking ultimately traced to an unbalanced rear driveline). Swapped sides back to where they had been, reinstalled the smooth one (was on long side) and used a decent used one for the other (short side).

I can bring the one not reinstalled to a meeting.

Personally, I'll buy my next ones from Slee.
