Default Chainsaw winch

I have never even heard of this until today, has anybody run across one?

Wonder if there is any practical use for this if you have a truck-mounted electrical winch...

Heard of them never used one.

At $900 not really that cost effective:roll eyes: http://www.lewiswinch.com/The_Lewis_...%20Now%20Winch

Operating it you are pretty much always in the line of fire if the rope breaks. I don't seen any practical use for it in my case. Logging industry or fire fighting maybe?

Farmers use them a lot for fencing. Also heard of people using them in certain building situations like heavy beams and trusses etc. cost effective all depends on what you are doing and using it for.
