Default FJ60 transmission

I've got three questions for the Gurus:

1. Did pre-85 FJ60 4-speed transmissions come with a 10 spline count input & output shafts? If so, see number two...

2. Anyone got a good one laying around that they want sell? If yes... Please call me. If not, see number 3...

3. Where can I get a rebuild kit?

The syncros went out in my Dad's 40; hence the shifting problems I had in Ouray.

I shipped it with the 40 but it has a 19 spline output shaft. The Marlin Crawl Box requires a 10 spline output.

The big question is if the current transmission's rear output is stock or was it changed out when the crawl box was added... This was all PO modifications

IIRC the 10 spline is a 3 speed output and 19 is a 4/5 speed output. Also IIRC, all F and H series are 10 spline input.

Me too, however, I spoke with the PO & he's claiming that it's a stock 1985 FJ60 transmission?

No way 10 spline output is stock on a 4 speed. Even non-USA. Either the PO is mistaken, or the output shaft was replaced with some kind of non-stock part.

I have a 4-speed from my old 1987 fj60 that worked great. I put in a 5-speed, so this has been taking up floor space in my garage. Let me know if it would work for you and we can talk about a price that works for you.
