Default 32x11.5 spare...would you put it on your stock carrier?

Another FJ40 question. Just want to be sure I won't overload the carrier...especially over time.

Would you put a 32x11.5 spare on your stock tire carrier?

Thanks!

CardinalFJ60 (and 40)

Should be just fine. I carried a 33 x 12.50 on the stock carrier for years. Make sure the bolts on the inside of the tub are nice and tight.

I've had a 33x10.5 on the stock carrier of my 71 for years, no problem.

Like Matt, I ran a 33 x 12.50 Spare on a Stock Carrier for years. Used an extra bungee cord to hold it a bit tighter for the rougher trails..
Thought it would come off several times, but it never did.

Yeah, I ran a 33X12.50 on mine. If it's squeaking, you know its there!
