Default AYES Internship

I am taking an auto tech class at Arapahoe Community College and through this class I can receive an internship with a local car dealership. In order to do this I need to get 32 hours of job shadowing at several dealerships assigned. Of the dealer ships listed I picked Both Burt Toyota off Broadway, and Ralph Schomp BMW off Broadway. I was wondering if anyone here has any connections to either of these dealerships and would be able to put a good word (or two) in for me? If so I would be very thankful.

Thanks Alot,

Max Parkinson

i don't know anyone in servive at burt, but i know alot of the guys in parts.
doug borger is the parts manager (i have worked for him before)
joe is his son who works the front retail counter.
jerry iverson (i hate to say i know)

they all know me max and i buy all my toyota parts from joe. (better deal than the OTHER guy everyone says to buy from)

i do know dave lottie who is a service writer (he might still remember me)

word of advice, ALWAYS be on time if not early. if your out of work, find or ask for something to do.
don't be a slacker, be a go getter.

and pay attention!

Squishy! works there, and did the AYES internship there. PM him, also contact Scott Rill and cold call him. Ask to meet him, buy him lunch, tell him about your goals and the strengths you bring with you. Have a solid resume and even portfolio handy, including references.

Scott is very good people. IIRC, he is still in charge of the AYES program there. Feel free to tell him I sent you.

Well, put, Jim! It's sad how many folks with real jobs just don't think like that. Max, what a awesome opportunity.. make the best of it and enjoy it!

Thank You for your advice, Bill I have met Scott Rill before and he is a very cool guy. he donated 12,000 dollars worth of hybrid engines/batteries for us to work with at ACC. also, did not know your son did this as well, will definatly PM him, thanks.

Jim, your right I have shown up to my current job (boston market) which I absolutely dont like at all, on time or even early every shift. so I HOPE that wont be a problem heh.
